Method

1

Gather and prepare your ingredients.

2

In a large bowl, mash the banana, crack in the egg and beat until well combined.

3

Stir in the oats, cacao powder, cinnamon, hemps seeds and hazelnuts; and a pinch of salt and mix well.

4

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, pour in the oat mixture. Spread the oats over the pan in an even layer. Cook for a 3–4 minutes undisturbed, until set.

5

Use a spatula to flip and break up the oats into bite-sized pieces, similar to making scrambled eggs. Continue cooking for 3–5 minutes until the oats have browned slightly, dried out and the texture of soft granola.

6

Serve in a bowl with thick Greek yoghurt, sliced kiwi, a handful of berries, and a drizzle of tahini.

I loved this! Nice flavour. It was also a nice way to use up some more ripe bananas

Definitely let it set well when it first goes in the pan. An amazing way to get your egg and banana intake if you don't eat them normally! Very... out of the box

This grew on me! I wasn’t sure at first- I think in my head I expected crunch, which there wasn’t, but it was a really nice change from overnight oats or porridge. I took note of the reviews and have saved half the uncooked mixture for tomorrow when I may add more nuts for extra crunch

Its good, not great, for the effort that goes in vs regular home made oats. But nice twist!

Overall good

Very nice and easy dish. Didn’t really know when the oats were done, so would like to see a more detailed recipe or maybe just a quick note for when the oats are done. Else it tasted great, really nostalgic to be eating kiwis.

Interesting treatment of oats, a nice change. As always with these recipes, the portion will be very largely for some (not to mention calorific).

Wow! Been looking for something to replace my porridge over the summer months and this is it! Super tasty and very easy to make. Maybe I'm a bit a big eater but a one portion size was enough for two meals for me. I'll definitely be trying with other nuts too. Thank you to the team for another big hit!

Tastes nice but I think I prefer crunchy granola as opposed to soft granola. Very filling!

This was so easy and so delicious

Very tasty and filling, not too sweet and keeps me satiated for a long time. Easy to swap out the berries and kiwi if I fancy something different

Absolutely delicious. I used flaked Almonds as had no hemp. I had lovely golden kiwis which are perfect with this. I thought I might add maple syrup but don’t need this. This would be a great breakfast before being active. I made it just for me and it may be a tad generous

Just tasty

I think the recipe was great super tasty. The only change I made was changing the Greek yoghurt for some home made yoghurt :)

This was fab! A chocolate, hazelnut and banana combo is always a winner for me. I didn't have hemp seeds so used ground flaxseed instead. Quick and simple to put together and really tasty.

Yum!! And so filling…this will keep me going til lunchtime.

I enjoyed this and it kept me feeling full for longer than other oat recipes.

Really yummy, serving for 2 gave us leftovers for 1. Accidentally cooked too high and burned the bottom. It suggests medium heat, but I would go a bit lower for my own stove.

This is so delicious, well worth the effort, makes a nice change to my usual porridge. I have had it 2 x all ready this week, just switched up the fruit and used peanut butter instead of tahini.
