Quite plain by themselves - like a waffle shaped omelette. But delicious with toppings on top - I topped mine with feta cheese, pumpkin seeds, ground flaxseed and sunflower seeds. Useful to be able to pop it in the toaster the next day to heat up. I'm going to make a batch to keep in the freezer and heat as needed.
Added 1 tblsp hemp protein powder and large spoonful cottage cheese to batter. Topped with chickpeas, sauerkraut, cherry tomatoes and a dressing made from a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt, 1 tsp each ground turmeric and cumin and some salt and pepper. Delish!
Yes i cooked this. Not that tasty, but healthy. We may need to include few more ingrediants to taste.
I found this recipe very easy to follow. It’s also quick and easy to make! I found it to be the tiniest bit bland. Next time I make it, I would like to add fresh chopped chives, dill, basil or something from the spice drawer. With that being said, it’s a great base that’s versatile. I had tons of energy all afternoon! Can’t wait to make some more tomorrow.
