Method

1

Gather and prepare your ingredients. Line a 9x19cm loaf tin with baking parchment.

2

Place the chocolate into a bowl suspended over a small pan of simmering water. Heat until melted. Don’t let the bottom of the bowl touch the water or you risk burnt chocolate. (or melt in the microwave)

3

Add the chickpeas to a food processor, pour in the melted chocolate and a pinch of salt. Blend until well combined and the mixture forms a dough-like texture.

4

Press the mixture into the lined loaf tin and place in the fridge for 1 hour until set.

5

To finish, top with more melted chocolate and leave to set for 30 minutes, if you like.

6

Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, slice and enjoy!

Omg…gorgeous,

Délicieux. Made it as a bark too, airfried the chickpeas with ground ginger and a pinch of salt, spray of olive oil. Will expériment with this recipe and add some raspberries.

Super easy, super decadent. Will 100% make again, definitely scratches my chocolate itch when needed!

Great but add toppings

Tasty! Simple! Hit the spot! This will definitely be in my rotation. I tried to use my food processor but transferred it to my Ninja blender which worked a lot better.

Quick and easy to make and very delicious!

This was pretty good. Texture quite nice and gives a nutty flavour to the chocolate. I didn't bother with the topping. Might add cranberries next time.
Please put the pinch of salt in the ingredient list for the main part. I'd nearly finished squashing it neatly into the tin before I noticed in the instructions.
And maybe specify how big a "pinch" is in teaspoons. My husband just said it was related to the sizes of a knob and a handful.................

I was very dubious but they taste great and not a hint of chickpea! Very rich so you do just need the small piece.
