Love the banana / miso combo

Absolutely lovely, definitely one to repeat !!

Love this recipe. Slightly tone down the miso, add yogurt to the chai mix to make it thicker and some vanilla protein powder to the yogurt on the top - super tasty!

Roman 2 weeks ago

This was really awesome!! The Kefir is a super-nice touch and the miso gives a nice Umami-taste! I added some crunch to it with roasted & salted pumpkin seeds 😙👌

Delicious. Virtual Rupy even helped me create a smaller “female” portion as this is quite a large meal for a woman. I wish all the recipes had male or female portions. I typically give my husband my leftovers! will definitely make this again!

Love this!!!

So nice, lovely way to start the day.

Kay 3 weeks ago

Loved this and would happily have it in regular rotation. The flavours work for me, similar to another of my favourites - chocolate and hazelnut scrambled oats. Like others have said, the chia mix was a bit watery so I added a tbsp of ground flaxseed which helped thicken it up. I used 0.5 tsp honey but found it plenty sweet enough so will omit this next time. I mashed all the banana with the miso, and served it with berries. It's a very generous portion but it was so tasty I finished it all, using about half the amount of yogurt.

I used this recipe but used buckwheat oats and warm instead of chia. I would use some more ammount of miso next time as I hardly tasted it with 1/2 tbsp.

linda 3 weeks ago

I haven't eaten banoffee pie in years, however this was as creamy and sweet as I remember it. Defiantly make it again.

Clare 4 weeks ago

I found the chia a little runny so adjusted the seed quantity the second time I prepared it.
Really liked that the miso stopped the banana being like baby food 😅

love love love it!! the banana and miso combo is a winner

Really delicious. I wasn't completely sure how this would turn out as kefir is a new ingredient for me, but I trusted the process and am very satisfied with the result. It's a lovely combination of slightly salty and sweet - nicely balanced. I added some dried goji berries at the end.
I'm not really a fan of having cold dishes or sweet dishes for breakfast - I'm more of a warm and savoury person but this recipe is delicious and easy to make so I'll make a space for it in my regular rotation. I'm glad to find a new way to have kefir in my diet. Thank you Dr. Rupi and team!

Really enjoyed this. The sour of the miso works really well to balance the sweet of the banana. Kept me full for hours. Will defo make again

Tasmin Last month

I found this quite sour, so did my son, my partner loved it but he'd eat anything! I was expecting this to be sweeter. Maybe because I didn't use maple syrup but peach flavoured honey.

I am no so into Chia Pudding. However, this combination of different textures and tastes is phenomenal. Have prepared this for three days in advance and was looking forward to it every morning.

Karina Last month

One of my favourite breakfasts to go - can be prepped the night ahead and. icely stored in a jar. Plus the miso-banana flavour combination is excellent. And you can vary the basic recipe by adding in different fruit, adding hemp etc.

Rum Last month

Perfect ratio for chia seeds (1/3 or less) . As using more gives me constipation for some reason. The banana tasted surprisingly good with the miso. I topped it off with banana and sliced almond.

Katrina Last month

comes together quickly and tastes good

Interesting combo! I liked this very much! Now rI have the building blocks, I’d tweak the recipe for me as follows: chia mix a bit runny so use less liquid and gently warm it up before adding; mash a whole banana to mix with the miso; use much less yoghurt. I sprinkled ground flaxseed over it. Because I prefer warm breakfasts I eat it as a refreshing dessert as it comes out of the fridge.

Delicious, and the white miso really added to the flavor profile. Since I am very petite, I split a recipe for 1 into two portions and used a bit more Greek yogurt. I also added a few walnut pieces and a dusting of cinnamon. Yum!

Absolutely delicious. A combo I never would have found on my own. I've eaten it for breakfast all week!

Annette 2 months ago

Delicious combination of ingredients. The banana/miso mix is delicious. A rich toffee taste. I didn't add the maple syrup as I try to cut right down on sugar. For me it was sweet enough without.

Really tasty, filling and so simple to make!

I just tried this recipe and I’m hooked! I’ll be trying the other 2 as soon as I find the ingredients I’m missing or out of at the moment.

Susan 2 months ago

I found the chia mixture still quite runny even after waiting an hour. I read a tip that said it’s helpful to warm the milk before adding to the chia, so I’ll try that next time. I’ll also add some vanilla to the chia as someone has suggested. The banana and miso mixture was really tasty. Seemed like a lot of yogurt so I reduced that a bit. Overall, a very tasty breakfast.

Tatiana 2 months ago

It's a perfect combination of flavours! Tastes like salted caramel yogurt ice cream, so good!👍👍👍

E 2 months ago

Again quantities for 1 gave 2 breakfasts. Not sure if I like raw cocoa but if make again will probably reduce or eliminate. Miso not noticeable when put into 1 banana. Topped with nuts and blueberries for first time: blueberries and pumpkin seeds the second. Will continue my search for a favourite recipe, as this one doesn't quite hit the mark for me.

Sonya 2 months ago

So filling and so goooooooood plus it came together very quickly! I wasn't sure what to expect with the miso/ banana combination, but I really liked it. This is now in my breakfast rotation.

Hilary 2 months ago

Substituted dried figs for banana. Wonderful slightly savoury taste combination

Sarah 2 months ago

As written I'm not sure I would love this recipe, but after reading some reviews I made some changes and it was delicious. I added cinnamon and vanilla to the chia and mashed the entire banana with the miso. I also chopped up 15 grams of walnuts for additional texture/crunch. I didn't layer it but mixed it all together as I don't love the super tart flavor of plain nonfat yogurt. I loved the sweet salty flavor of the miso banana mash!

Next time, I'll split the maple syrup between the chia pudding and the yogurt so I can layer it parfait style. I'll skip the cacao since the flavor is buried by the strong miso banana mash.

After reading some of the comments, I decided to mash a whole banana with miso and it didn’t disappoint! Really delicious combination of flavours and unique breakfast. Could also double up as a summer’s dessert as it’s very cooling!

Sally 3 months ago

Unusual in a good way! Lovely sweet sour effect. I made this as a pudding, between two of us the recipe as it is was a perfect size.

Karen 3 months ago

This recipe is nice, it’s unusual at first but gets better the more you eat. Making night before helps consistancy, runny if making on the day

Dicey 3 months ago

Delicious. The banana and miso is what drew me to try this. Delivered!

Christi 3 months ago

The chia mixture was still liquidy after setting for 20 minutes. I even put in the fridge for about an hour before adding the other ingredients on top. I split it up into 3 jars and put them in the fridge. Hopefully they'll firm up by tomorrow.

Susan 3 months ago

I never knew banana and miso was a thing! This is so delicious. Makes for a fab breakfast. Will be one of my go to recipes

Janie 4 months ago

I really enjoyed this recipe.
Next time I’d be inclined to use three-quarters of the banana and a little more miso. 😋
I also added a small amount of grated dark chocolate with the raw cacao.
I shall definitely make this again. 😋
Thanks, team! 😁

The more I eat, the more I love this!! Yumm!! So easy to make.

Love miso, banana and chia seeds pudding. Great flavour combo for a chia seeds pudding and easy to make a batch and individually jar for a few days. I used soya kefir and soya greek yoghurt. I've done the same for overnight oats jars too and delicious

I have made this close to 10 times now! At first, I only had cherry kefir which gave it a really nice sweetness and flavor complexity. Today I only used pea milk and added blueberries. Turns out delicious every time!!

Miso & banana is a total taste sensation, loved it!

Amanda 5 months ago

Really liked this as a breakfast. It was really yummy and tastes a bit like salted caramel/banoffee. It’s now my staple Sunday breakfast. Good protein content so great start to the day.

So tasty!!!

Not entirely sold on the miso banana combo (and I love miso), but the rest was great. Added some cinnamon powder and vanilla paste to boost the flavour. Will use the base of this and keep playing with flavour combos

Lewis 6 months ago

This really is excellent, so tasty. Its a fairly large portion but very morish so no problem to eat. Works just as well as a dessert despite not being overly sweet. Will definitely make again.

Katalin 6 months ago

Absolue five star for me! Miso & banana, what a weird combo but works! I loved the layers and the textures. I'll be having this more as a dessert/snack as I don't like this kind of cold stuff in the morning.

Amy 6 months ago

This was a bit bland. I'd make it again with the addition of vanilla and cinnamon to help boost the flavor.
