For midweek meals I rarely have the energy to make a paste from scratch, and this is where having good-quality convenience products to hand really comes into its own. The bitter phytonutrients in this brassica vegetable are what bring the anti-inflammatory benefits to the meal. The tomatoes will break down to create a light sauce for the fish, and using the broccoli stalks adds a ton more fibre to support flourishing gut health. If you don't have broccoli, you can use cauliflower, fennel and even aubergine instead. Read more A simple traybake where a good-quality Thai green curry paste does all the work for you. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

2. Smother the hake fillets in 1 tablespoon of the curry paste, season well and drizzle with the oil, then leave to marinate.

3. Add the tomatoes, broccoli stalks, the remaining 3 tablespoons of the curry paste and the lentils to a baking tray with 50ml of water and mix thoroughly with your hands.

4. Drizzle with oil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until the broccoli stalks are partly cooked, stirring halfway through.

5. Remove the baking tray and carefully nestle the broccoli florets into the lentils and tomatoes. Place the fish on top of the vegetables and pop back in the oven for 10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.

6. Serve with coriander leaves, toasted peanuts and a squeeze of lime.

Very flavorful! I used coconut milk instead of water to mix in with the curry paste, it added a nice creaminess to the sauce.

Quick to make and nutritious! This is not my favorite recipe from this website, but I would make it again.

Definitely reduce the amount of curry paste. It may be down to the brand used, but this was too strong spicy and salty.

Definitely 4,teaspoons of curry paste for 2 rather than tablespoons…. Easy and tasty with lots of texture.

I recommend this recipe. For me, it's not a weekend comfort food. Rather, it's a weekday distinctly healthy option that is fuss free & really easy. Reading through some of the comments I erred on the side of caution & dialed down the green curry paste from 4 tbsp to 4 tsp, which worked well. The broccoli came out nice, particularly as I followed the recipe of baking the stems first, adding the florets later. Served with a vibrant cabbage pickle for extra fibre, colour & polyphenols.

Very tasty, added some courgette for more veggies. I cooked the broccoli at the same time as the hake, as it can burn quickly.

The flavors are delicious, the fish and veggies cooked well together. But the thai curry paste I used was way too strong and so overpowering. Next time I will use half or less!

Joanna 11 months ago

Maybe the curry paste I used is more condensed than some. It was too strong. Will use less paste and add coconut milk next time.

Easy to cook full of flavour ,love the peanut crunch

Absolutely delicious! Perfect flavours and perfectly cooked fish. Nuts add wonderful crunch and the lime makes all the flavours pop!

I needed a quick easy dinner as I was exhausted. This felt easy, I loved the instructions for cooking the broccoli stalks. It was delicious with some crispy lentils and great texture and flavour. It’s going into favourites. I forgot to use the toppings. Next time it’ll be even better

Surprisingly tasty and easy to prepare. We added potatoes that we did not use in previous meal which helped reduce food waste.
