I read that one reader's mixture didn't set and noted that my Canadian maple syrup was quite runny so I added a heaped teaspoon of golden linseed and chia seed mix that I had already blitzed. I added a dash of cinnamon. I maybe could have left a few mins longer in the oven as I thought they would be crunchy. However they did cut well. I will add some dried cranberries next time for a slightly different texture and give to my tramping mad friend,
Y.U.M!
Used everything nutty and seedy in my cupboard. Cut into small bite sized pieces for a hike coming up and these little beauties will keep my energy up on the trip! I might also take a toothpick !๐
loved it but it's quite small, will make bigger portion for batch next time
These are delicious . I canโt stop eating them
I found 15 mins cooked better than 20. But that could just be my oven. But was still very yummy.
Delicious! These will be made again.
Great tasty treat
Serving sizes are confusing, not just. Would be better to have an amount of bars u get. I made 8 servings but got 6 decent sized bars
Left these in small loaf tin (which I had lined with parchment paper) until completely cold but there was no way these nuts and seeds were going to stay intact.
However, although I was looking for a healthy eadt to make recipe for energy bars this mixture of toasted nuts seeds and maple syrup were lovely as a desert with Greek yoghurt. Would make again to have as a desert but no way would these stay together. It is mostly nuts and seeds with some maple syrup so I cannot see how they will stay together. I did cook on the hob until maple syrup bubbled and cooked for another 3 minutes stirring as per the recipe. Still love it for desert though. Would be good to see you mske these and fast forward to when they are completely cold and you make them into bars!
