Method

Your notes

1

Gather and prepare your ingredients. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2

Place all ingredients for the bites into a bowl and stir to combine. Set aside to soak for 10 minutes, until thickened. Start with a small amount of water and add more as needed until you have a firm but scoop-able mixture

3

Scoop into portions about the size of a small golf ball. Use your hands to roll into balls. Place the cacao into a bowl. Toss the balls into the nibs until coated. It may help to use dampened hands to do this part, and to place them in the fridge for several minutes after shaping.

Used cashew butter which wasn't as oily as peanut butter so required more water plus the cocao nigs didn't stick. Will use peanut butter next time. Also would add some orange zest to give an refreshing zing. Very healthy and taking to share after Saturday am Pilates class. XX

Bland and dry. And needed a LOT more liquid that suggested to hold together

This recipe did not work at all. Never looked wet like the first photo, put more than 100 mls of water in and it was just too dry and sticky. Thought I was going to choke on it, a gluey flavourless recipe

This recipe really didn't work. I added the maximum amount of water and it was really dry so I added load more water. They taste really bland.

I had to add a little more water for my protein powder, but these were delicious! I also added 2-3 tbsp of cocoa powder and it worked really well

I used vanilla whey and the balls tasted amazing. One note - the water requirement is likely to vary based on protein powder used. Mine turned out a bit runny because I blindly added it, Iโ€™d recommend reducing the amount of water and then asking those making it to use their discretion on if more water is needed.
