Easy to make, fairly quickly done. I didn't had brown lentils, so I used green lentils and I added 10 min to the cooking time which worked perfectly. I also added some chilli pepper and Worcestershire sauce. The taste was really great. Will definitely cook this again.
This is beautiful!
Excellent, will become a staple!
Really enjoyed this. I didn’t have any brown lentils but I made the base 2/3 green lentils (cooked 5 mins longer) and then 1/3 cooked beluga lentils I had left over. Also added a teaspoon of marmite and a sprinkle of cayenne just as I like a bit of a lift to balance the deep mellow flavours but this was a winner. By far my favourite bolognese recipe and none of the stodgy feeling they normally leave after.
Great recipe
Excellent yet again
This is THE most delicious bolognese EVER. I’m so pleased that I discovered Dr Rupy. Thank you.
Yes a very delicious meal. Now a family favourite
Great comfort food feeling from this one. Made more simple with canned lentils instead of dried.
Love this recipe it’s simply so tasty & easy to prepare. Well done!
This definitely requires longer than stated to cook the lentils. It's really good though. I used miso paste in place of the tamari and added some Worcestershire sauce to ramp up the flavour a little.
Needed longer cooking - semi covered to evaporate and thicken
Really tasty. Second time making this and will continue to make it. Very versatile in that you could add any veg you have to it. I added baby spinach leaves, and have added (previously steamed) broccoli at the end. Everyone likes it!
Made for hubby to eat following a big bike ride- he said it was really good - not typical feedback from the meat lover
An absolute staple! Great to freeze when batch cooking🙌
A really yummy alternative to regular spag bog. Husband said this is his favourite and preferred it over meat - that’s saying something!
I like the ease of making this, the ingredients & the thick sauce at the end of cooking. The flavour is good too.
We love this recipe. I am flexible with the veggies - often adding mushrooms at the start and / or grated courgette when I add the lentils. I usually also use dry black lentils, and cook it for 20 mins after adding them.
So tasty. Very easy to make indeed. Great for batch cooking
Such a great alternative. Paired it with beef meatballs, no pasta. Lentil bolagnese, lovely texture and so filling
Daughter said is amazing. She has been a vegetarian for years. He commemt was; "the only thing I miss being a vegetarian is a good bolognese sauce, this tastes just like meat bolognese". Thank you.
Huge hit with all the family! Will become a family staple and healthy swap for beef ragú. I had to cook the sofrito for longer than stated (20mins) and also the lentils (45 mins).
Easy to follow recipe
Really tasty and wholesome
I topped with nutritional yeast for additional flavour
I also added mushrooms
It was really nice.
