Ingredients
Method
Gather and prepare your ingredients. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan.
Place the chicken thighs, onion and cauliflower in a large roasting tin, spoon over the harissa paste and toss, making sure everything is well coated. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the chopped tomatoes around the chicken and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and gently stir through the chickpeas and lentils. Toss the cauliflower leaves in a drizzle of olive oil, then place on top and return to the oven for 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked, the vegetables are soft and the cauliflower leaves are crispy. Drizzle over the lemon juice and serve with a sprinkle of coriander leaves.

I have made this a number of times and it’s fast becoming a staple !! So easy and tasty 😊
A warming, wholesome dinner that is a family pleaser.
Really delicious but I had to add bits to make it a bit more tastier
Tasty! Used way less harissa (because toddler was also eating) but it turned out great
substituting firm tofu for chicken thighs make a tasty vegetarian/vegan dish
This was tasty. I used tandoori paste instead of harissa and it came out lovely.
Stuck to the recipe apart from using boneless chicken thighs and it was lovely so easy to do can even fit in a little strength session whilst it’s in the oven!
Easy preparation. An it is Delicious!
Absolutely delicious and so easy to make. As others have said, I use two cans of tinned tomatoes and a sprinkle of cinnamon and smoked paprika. Just takes it up a notch. I used boneless thighs and cooked more of them. This is such a versatile recipe. Add As much or as little as you like. I chucked it all in a big baking dish, as I had doubled the recipe, and tossed all the toms and harissa through. Easy peasy and cooked in no time.
Nice! I browned off the chicken first as I wanted to capture as much flavour as possible and skipped the chickpeas
Very tasty and I love that you just chuck everything in a roasting tin. Super simple to make
This did not work for me. I’m not sure what I did wrong.
Delicious! Filling, satisfying and tasty. My favourite Drs Kitchen recipe so far. Will be making this every week.
A bit too spicy for me, but my two-year-old did not mind the heat. I am keen to retry this when I have cauliflower leaves.
Very easy. Loved the flavours together. Very colourful too
Really enjoyed this dish, would recommend and will cook again. We gave the veggies a 20 minute headstart before adding the chicken and used 2 tins of tomato to make it more saucy.
Very tasty and with a nice heat.
Cooked it for 10 mins longer than recipe. Added some extra spices (ras el hanout) and tomato purée and stirred it more often whilst cooking
This was simple to make and very yummy, first recipe I’ve made from the app and looking forward to trying more
So easy as the chicken thighs don't need browning. I had some chickpeas and asparagus left over from another meal, so used those in place of the tin of chickpeas and the spinach. Using the cauliflower leaves was genius. Next time I will use a bigger red onion and slice it thicker. Served with leftover tsatsiki and babaganoush helped balance the harissa. Followed the fan oven instructions and did in the air fryer (as usual!)
Delicious. Only had chicken thighs no
bones which were fine , just gave the veggies some extra time at the start before adding the chicken. Mixing all ingredients together with the harissa and Tom paste makes it super easy to coat everything. Topped with
spring onions and some Persian Feta to
serve.
Great recipe, really flavorful and incredibly easy! There are cauliflower haters in my house, so I subbed in broccolini for the cauliflower and radicchio for the leaves, and just used a can of lentils. I usually buy the spicy version of harissa (Mina brand), it was a little much in such quantities, next time I'll use half and half.
Very simple but well rounded meal. Quite tasty.
My first Doctor's Kitchen recipe! It was a storming success! I read the user comments and used two tins of tomatoes and mixed all the veg together with added smoked paprika and cinnamon and let the chicken marinade in this for a couple of hours before cooking. I had friends round and they loved it! Thank you!
I made a few tweaks and this was excellent. I listened to others on the comments, and put the veggies, chopped tomatoes and harrisa into a big bowl and mixed it all up before it went onto the tray.
I also added a second tin of tomatoes which made a nice moist sauce.
I added some smoked paprika and cinnamon randomly.
The cauliflower leaves came out really nice and crispy, first time for me doing that, and it won’t be the last!
I personally don't think that this lives up to the standard of other recipes I have tried. It was fairly bland and not much in the way of any type of sauce. I won't be adding this to my list of repeats I am afraid.
Great spicy recipe. I recommend mixing the harissa with the veg in a bowl first before putting on the sheet pan for easy cleanup.
Easy and delicious: I made a mistake and forgot to add the tomatoes with the chicken and cauliflower but it didn’t seem to matter. Think when I reheat leftovers I’ll like it even more as the cauliflower wasn’t quite as roasty as I would like but it was soft. Not a deal breaker for a quick easy dinner.
Fabulous recipe - rich and warming
The recipe is very healthy and delicious. Even my picky 16 yr old grandson liked it. Mixing the harissa in with the cauliflower and chicken wasn't easy, as it got stuck inside the CF pieces. Rather than stirring, I hd to use my hands to distribute the harissa evenly. But the flavors and textures were very good together after baking.
Beautiful flavours, I used a green harissa paste and it blended so well with the tomatoes. Easy to make and a great combo of flavors.
Great meal. So quick to make and delicious. This will be a go-to recipe for me that is quick, nutritious & healthy. I might add some green beans next time.
So good! I added half the amount of cauliflower and some brocolli and it was just right (think it would be too dry with the amount of cauliflower recommended).
