Loved the flavour of these pears. The star anise especially gave a lovely spicy warmth.

What a flavour! Spicy and lots of heat, that sauce is delicious. I have a good half a cup full left so hoping to use with some hot water as a kind of tea. My pears were quite soft so think I needed a firmer pear to begin with. Delicious.
